Cart & Broom · Legal
Terms and Conditions
Last updated October 1, 2026
The short version
- Cart & Broom is a free grocery, meal and cleaning app. Plus adds more helper questions each day.
- The helper is an AI. It can be wrong, so check food safety, allergies and product labels yourself.
- Be kind, do not try to break or get around the app’s limits, and do not share or sell Plus codes.
- The app comes “as is”, and our responsibility is limited as explained below.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Angel Tech Corporation Industries L.L.C. (“we”, “us”) about Cart & Broom, the website and the version you add to your home screen (“the app”). By using the app you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian needs to read and agree to these Terms for you. Children under 13 should use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission. Parents and guardians are responsible for how their children use the app, including any purchases.
2. What the app does
Cart & Broom helps with groceries (a list sorted by aisle), meals (a library of meal ideas with amounts, a week planner and a favorites list) and cleaning (room task lists, timers, streaks and pep talks), plus an optional AI helper. We may add, change or remove features over time.
3. The AI helper
The helper uses Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, to write cooking steps, ingredient lists, meal ideas and pep talks. Answers are written by a computer and can be incomplete, wrong or unsafe. Use your own judgment, and do not rely on the helper as your only source for anything that matters.
- Food safety. Cook meat, poultry, seafood and eggs to safe temperatures (a food thermometer helps), keep raw and cooked food apart, and refrigerate leftovers promptly. When in doubt, check a trusted source such as FoodSafety.gov.
- Allergies and diets. Always read ingredient labels. The helper does not know your allergies, health conditions or dietary needs, and nothing in the app is medical or nutrition advice.
- Kitchen safety. Knives, stoves, ovens and hot oil can hurt. Younger cooks should have an adult nearby.
- Cleaning safety. Follow the directions on product labels, keep rooms aired out, and never mix cleaning products (for example, bleach with ammonia or vinegar).
- Amounts and times in the meal library and in helper answers are estimates. Check as you go.
- Daily limits. Each phone gets a number of free helper questions a day, and the whole app has a daily limit too. Limits reset at midnight UTC and may change. The helper may sometimes be busy, limited or turned off.
- What you send. You are responsible for what you type into the helper. Do not include personal information. Cooking steps are saved and may be shown to others who ask for the same dish (see the Privacy Policy).
- Using the answers. As between you and us, you may use the helper’s answers for your own personal, household purposes.
4. Plus
- Plus gives a phone more helper questions each day. The current numbers are shown in the app under ? → See today’s count and Plus.
- Plus works with codes. Each code works on up to 5 phones and is meant for you and your household. Please do not post, sell or trade codes.
- Payments are handled by Stripe, and Stripe’s terms apply to the payment itself. The price, currency and what you get (including how long it lasts) are shown on the purchase page before you pay.
- Plus is a digital service that starts as soon as you enter your code. Except where the law gives you a right to a refund, purchases are non-refundable. If Plus is not working for you, contact us and we will try to make it right.
- Plus does not guarantee that the helper is always available. We may turn off a code that has been shared publicly, resold, or used to abuse the app.
5. Your stuff
Your lists, meals, rooms and notes are yours. They are stored on your device, so you are responsible for them; we cannot recover them if they are deleted or your phone is lost. When you send something to the helper, you give us permission to process it, send it to our AI provider to get your answer, and save cooking steps as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Fair use rules
Please be kind and use the app the way it is meant to be used. You agree not to:
- break any law, or use the app to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
- try to get around daily limits, Plus codes or security, for example by making up device numbers, guessing codes or passwords, or sending automated requests;
- overload, attack, scrape, probe or interfere with the app or its servers;
- use the helper to create harmful, hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content, or try to trick it into breaking its rules;
- copy, resell or republish the app, its meal library or its helper as your own product (see the EULA);
- pretend to be us or anyone else.
7. Our stuff
The app, including its design, code, meal library, text, graphics and the Cart & Broom name, belongs to Angel Tech Corporation Industries L.L.C. or the people we license it from, and is protected by law. CART & BROOM and ANGEL TECH are trademarks of Angel Tech Corporation Holding L.C., used by Angel Tech Corporation Industries L.L.C. under license. You may use it as described in the EULA. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, and other names belong to their owners. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the app running, but we cannot promise it will always be available, fast or free of errors. We may change, pause or stop any part of the app at any time. Some features need an internet connection.
9. Disclaimer
THE APP AND EVERYTHING IN IT, INCLUDING THE HELPER’S ANSWERS, ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limits on our responsibility
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, ANGEL TECH CORPORATION INDUSTRIES L.L.C. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP, INCLUDING ANYTHING YOU DO BECAUSE OF A HELPER ANSWER. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR PLUS IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR US$20.
Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, or our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited.
11. If you misuse the app
If you break these Terms or misuse the app and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
12. Ending
You can stop using the app at any time: just remove it and clear the site’s data. We may suspend or end your access, including turning off a Plus code, if you break these Terms or misuse the app. Sections that by their nature should continue (like 7, 9, 10, 11 and 13) keep applying after that.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to sort it out informally. If we cannot, disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will also let you know in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, the new Terms apply.
